Don Hubert founded Resources for Development Consulting over a decade ago with one goal in mind: to assist Nations and communities in securing a fair share of their natural resource wealth.
Don’s experience includes more than 10 years supporting developing countries in the negotiation, renegotiation, and oversight of revenue-sharing agreements for mining, oil and gas, and LNG projects.
In recent years, he has pivoted to supporting Indigenous communities in Canada. This work focuses on advising on the negotiation of revenue-sharing terms with proponents of mining and pipeline projects.
He has also advised on revenue-sharing arrangements with the Province of British Columbia and conducted loss of use assessments for Specific Claims related to mining and petroleum activities.
Don holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge.
